Just minutes from Lake McConaughy and about 20 minutes north of Interstate 80, Bayside Golf Club takes advantage of its off-the-beaten path feel and astonishing scenery. 

The Bayside Web site states the creators can’t even decide on a signature hole, which should tell everyone there are many dream holes to choose from.

But the course tops out around 6,500 yards, giving you no reason to step to the back tee and still score well.

Regardless of the hole you are playing on this links course, ‘The Lake’ comes into view.

But the capper is hole No. 18, where you feel like you can see it all.

Though the course is less than five years old, it preserves the rustic feel of history with its location near historical sites.

For this one, don’t be afraid of leaving the paved path.
